Kite Festival at Overlook Beach

Come out to Overlook Beach for the annual Kite Festival, a wholesome and exciting event the whole family will enjoy! On Saturday, April 26th from 10 AM to 5 PM, kite flyers from all over will gather to demonstrate their talents and share the art of kite flying. Whether you’re a seasoned flyer or just love watching the sky fill with color, this beachside festival promises a day of fresh air, creativity, and community fun. Hosted by the North Babylon Chamber of Commerce, it’s a spring celebration you won’t want to miss!

We are pleased to announce that we are hosting our Fifth Annual Kite Festival in partnership with The Town of Babylon and Suffolk County.

The North Babylon Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a family fun festival entitled “Go Fly a Kite Over Babylon”.
The festival is planned for Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Overlook Beach in Babylon,
NY.
This free family fun event is the fifth annual and will be an open-air occasion.
Again, we will have a professional kite flyer, candy drop, free fly, bubble maker, food vendors, non-profit organizations, merchandise vendors and music and dance entertainment and other entertainment.

In the span of four years, this festival has grown to be the largest regional kite festival on Long Island.
Last year it was estimated that this event attracted between 14, 000 – 16,000 people.
