Join us for the Snapper & Crab Derby at Captree State Park on August 17 and 18, 2024. Enjoy a fun-filled weekend of fishing with free sign-up at Captree Fuel, Bait and Tackle. Buy, rent, or bring your own rods and participate in sales all weekend. The event runs from 10 AM to 2 PM daily, with the last weigh-in at 2 PM each day and an awards ceremony at 2:30 PM each day. There are 12 prizes each day, with awards for the 1st to 3rd heaviest snapper in each age group (7 years & younger, 8-12 years old, 13-16 years old) and the 1st to 3rd heaviest crab overall. Winners must be present to receive their prizes.
