This is to honor Diana who was instrumental in starting and nourishing this Festival in 2021.We will all love and miss her guidance.She devoted nearly 30 years to teaching in the North Babylon School District\, profoundly impacting countless students with her warmth\, dedication\, and encouragement. She also founded the North Babylon High School chapter of the Model United Nations\, inspiring generations of students to explore global issues and develop leadership skills.Diana later served as principal of North Babylon’s evening alternative school and spent many years privately tutoring students\, offering patient guidance and heartfelt support. To her\, students and colleagues were family\, treated with the same love and care as her own.Diana proudly founded the popular “Go Fly a Kite Over Babylon” festival\, bringing joy and creativity to the community. She was an avid traveler\, exploring approximately 50 countries across five continents\, including a recent journey to Antarctica.She loved the arts\, including museums\, galleries\, the Metropolitan Opera\, Broadway shows\, and stand-up comedy. A lifelong animal lover\, Diana adopted and cared for many cats\, welcoming stray and neighborhood cats to her home with food\, shelter\, and kindness.This year the Kite Festival is scheduled for Saturday\, April 25 – rain date Sunday\, April 26 at Overlook Beach – Town of Babylon Parks\, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is open to the public.

We see in the gospels He preached\, healed\, and operated in Words of Knowledge when declaring the Good News. Yet many have discarded the works of the Spirit when sharing the Gospel. Perhaps today\, more than ever before\, people need to see the power of God. \nDuring this training\, there will be a team of people that regularly evangelize in both Word and works that will partner with students to mentor. The morning will be the training. Then in the afternoon we will go and do. Afterwards\, we will get back together to debrief\, and hear all the Lord did. Phill has done power evangelism from the beginning of his walk with God and has been training people in it on four continents. \nThis is very practical training that every believer should have in their evangelism toolbox!

DO NOT park on the side of Ocean Parkway\, you will be ticketed.  \nIs there an entrance fee?No! This is free to the public! \nDo I need to be a Town of Babylon resident?Nope! Open to anyone beyond!  \nHow can I become a vendor?Previous vendors were invited by the chamber at the start of the year. However\, to check for any openings\, please talk to the North Babylon & West Babylon Chamber directly.
