Monday night we checked out Babylon’s new hot spot, The Brixton. The new small plates restaurant has a great cocktail menu and the inspiring vibe that “sharing is caring.” Bring your family or have a night out with some friends; The Brixton makes everyone at home in our cozy Town of Babylon.

Our waitress expertly guided us through the menu, recommending a snack and two small plates per two people. Since we wanted to try everything, my girlfriends and I opted for multiple small plates! We finally settled on avocad deviled eggs, cauliflower gratin, tuna poke, chicken and biscuits, and a prosciutto and apple pizzette. We decided to finish with something sweet and ended with the peanut butter and chocolate crunch. The kitchen sent our plates out in a continuous flow, each plate more innovative and beautiful than the one before.

Their unique cocktails held their own against the inventive fare; we favored the “Moscow Mule,” a popular Long Island beverage with a very Babylon twist, the addition of a special ingredient- ginger kombucha.

We chatted with Bill, the bar’s manager, and he gave us a sneak peek at their upcoming spring menu, “It’s Always Sunny in Babylon.” Inspired by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the new menu serves up a specialty cocktail called “the duster,” [pictured below] which blew our minds; you’ll have to head to the bar to try that one for yourself!
Everything that came to the table piqued our interest and left us totally satisfied. The dishes were served perfectly, and we were even given the option to add an additional chicken and biscuit, so each of our trio could have a taste. The Brixton is a perfect spot for a relaxed date night, a night out with friends, or just to grab a quick and satisfying bite. Our future girls’ nights will certainly consist of working our way through their menu.

We spoke to Toni, The Brixton’s general manager, about the town: “We are really excited about being a part of this town. The people are all really great and down to earth. They’ve really given us a chance and welcomed us with open arms.” The Brixton staff can’t wait to meet more residents. Ask for Toni or Bill when you stop by and introduce yourself! Welcome to town, Brixton! We can’t wait to see what else you’ve got planned!

The Brixton will be holding their first “Beer Dinner,” Monday April 3rd at 7pm! It will be a stunning 5 course food and beer pairing, featuring beers from Bell’s Brewery, tickets are $50 per person (plus tax and service). There’s no better way to chase away the Monday Blues than delicious food and local beers!
