First Company Pink, which raises funds to support breast cancer research, recently launched a program called “Got Checked?” to raise breast health awareness for girls and women at a younger age. The purpose of the “Got Checked?” slogan is to have the government recognize breast cancer awareness as a year-round campaign. First Company Pink will be joining forces with the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition here in the Town of Babylon to promote their important cause.

At the Board Meeting, Supervisor Schaffer and the Town Board passed Resolution No. 509, officially proclaiming July 6 th , 2016 as “Got Checked?” day in the Town of Babylon. In addition, Donna Cioffi, who founded First Company Pink in 2010 following her own personal battle with breast cancer, was presented with an official Town of Babylon proclamation to honor her continued effort to eradicate breast cancer in this lifetime.
