SUMMARY:Take Back the Night | Shine a Light on Sexual Assault
DESCRIPTION:Hosted at Farmingdale State College \, this event brings students\, staff\, and the community together to stand in solidarity with survivors and raise awareness around sexual assault. \nThe evening will include: \n5:30-6:30pm Info Fair – stop by one of the tables to gather information and learn more about Sexual Assault Prevention. Collect stamps and win a ticket for the food truck. \n6:30-7:30pm Keynote– Marlee Liss\, is a somatic educator\, social worker\, and lesbian feminist whose groundbreaking sexual assault case led to a precedent-setting Restorative Justice outcome in the North American court system. An award-winning speaker featured in Forbes\, HuffPost\, and the Mel Robbins Show\, she founded the global Survivors 4 Justice Reform coalition and has delivered talks for Action Trauma Summit\, Vanderbilt University\, Women’s Mental Health Conference at Yale and more.
