She had every reason not to trust people\, but I knew I had to help her. \nWith compassion\, care\, and structure\, I was able to navigate her behavior and help her become an incredible dog. That experience shaped my entire life. \nSince then\, I’ve spent over 40 years training\, rescuing\, and supporting dogs in every setting imaginable. I’ve worked with rescues\, supported shelters\, and helped when and where I could. But no matter how much any one person does\, the need is bigger than we can meet alone. \nThat’s why we created the Canines & Coffee: Rescue & Shelter Network—a recurring\, in-person event at Maximum Canine\, where rescues and shelters can come together to learn\, collaborate\, and build a stronger system of support. \nThis is a place to share ideas\, apply training and fulfillment strategies\, and create a platform to feature dogs in need—so more of them find homes\, and stay in them. \nIt’s my way of coming full circle—using the knowledge\, resources\, and community we’ve built to return to why I started in the first place: helping dogs by supporting the people who care for them. \nWhat You’ll Walk Away With: \nTools to improve dog behavior through structured fulfillment \nReal-world handling strategies you can apply immediately \nA better understanding of leash work\, obedience\, and decompression \nIdeas for building in-house enrichment and training routines \nAccess to exclusive discounts on food\, equipment\, and services through Maximum Canine \nA meeting point at Maximum Canine to facilitate ongoing networking and collaboration \nAn open forum to communicate with industry professionals\, shelters\, rescues\, and dog trainers \nA shared pipeline to help highlight\, market\, and re-home dogs in need
