My husband and I hired JQ Home Improvement for a major renovation, including a full kitchen remodel and an update to our second floor. As per our town requirements, we needed architectural plans.
In the kitchen, James and his team used our architectural plans to completely transform the space to improve functionality and flow, to make it brighter and more open-concept. Their attention to detail was outstanding—they weren’t afraid to modify plans as we progressed, ensuring everything turned out exactly as we envisioned. It was a completely gutted and extended kitchen remodel where they did everything including new windows, sliding doors, siding, pavers, steel beams, wood floors, removed oil tank, cabinets, appliances, and tile.
On the main and second floor, the team refinished our old wood floors from dark brown to a beautiful natural oak, giving our home a fresh and modern look. They also upgraded all doors to solid wood, expanded our closet space, and completed electrical updates.
The craftsmanship and professionalism of JQ Home Improvement were top-notch. James communicated clearly throughout the project and delivered high-quality work with an eye for detail. At some points, when we saw something we didn’t care for, James already had it noted and promised to fix it to our liking. Along with his professionalism he is also a kind and optimistic person. He’s easy to talk to and someone you enjoy being around. Additionally, he has a wonderful rapport with his team and is well respected.
We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend James and his crew of experts for any home renovation project! We have shared with James that should he need references in the future, that he can always count on us.

James and his team just finished our home renovation. They built an apartment downstairs and added a second story master, bath, and playroom. They are truly another level of professional. I'm blown away by their attention to detail, meticulous work, and how everyone works so hard. James has built a team that is talented, trustworthy, and personable. I never expected to say that I would miss parts of the construction process, but his team have become regulars in our household and we will miss them. My home is beyond beautiful and I truly cannot recommend JQ enough.

My family and I used JQ to renovate our home, add an apartment for my parents and add another floor to our house. I cannot express how seamless the process was and how professional James and his crew were. We couldn’t be happier with the end result, everything is beautiful and done the right way. James was very fair on price, stayed in budget and had great communication the entire time; very responsive. He has done other work for me in the past and large projects for some other family members. I would highly recommend him to anyone, he has gained all and any work I have in the future. Had JQ Home Improvement Inc. come to install new siding on our house. From the moment James first showed up to give an estimate you could tell that he’s not only knowledgeable in his craft but is very passionate about every job. Communication is a very important aspect especially with home renovations and we can confidently say that any time we reached out James answered in a timely manner. At the completion of every day they ensured that the work area was cleaned. Even with a few curve balls that were thrown during the project James was very understanding and helpful with getting over the problems. We enjoyed using the company so much that we plan on hiring them again for other projects we have around the house. If you have any projects that you need or want to get done look no further then JQ, you will not be disappointed.
