Rather than be unfair to every staff member at Doctors Care by writing a generally negative review, i will be specific as it relates to my interactions with some of the people working there and my individual experience. First and foremost-the front desk staff. Since i have been a patient at Doctors Care there has been numerous changes to the front desk staff which is attributed to rudeness and a lack of concern for the patient. There was a day when i was slightly late for my appointment and the receptionist was obnoxious with me when i tried to explain the reason for it. When the time comes to be escorted into the examination area do not count on one of the staff members asking "how are you today" with a smile because they simply don't care. Once in the exam room you will often wait another 30-60 minutes to be seen and if you say something about it you become wrong because only their time matters. If you want to call and speak with the doctor at a different time because you have an additional concern the doctor will NOT call you back or provide you an email address for your convenience as most other medical offices do. However there are a few bright spots. The PA Heather is exceptional at her profession and will go above and beyond to ensure that every patient is well cared for. Dr. McMahon also performs at a very high level. Some of the employees at this doctors office need to learn how to treat every patient that walks through the door like a member of their family and not just a person off the street.

At my most recent visit with NP Christina, she sent the wrong quantity of my medication to the pharmacy. Contacted the office the next day to rectify this at 10am and it’s almost nearing the end of the day and Christina has yet to rectify this matter. If I wanted to keep suffering with the symptom’s I presented with, I wouldn’t have visited the doctors office to begin with. Also had to wait 40 minutes to see this provider. which has never happened to me in over 10 years that I have visited this practice. While waiting, she was attending to the patient in the room next to mine and I could over hear their whole conversation and small talk about her dog along with her showing the patient pictures of the dog to her patient. Also the staff at the front desk are rude. Both in person and over the phone. Upon entering the office, the staff does not even acknowledge you and if they’re on the phone they don’t even make eye contact or bother being courteous enough to let you know they will shortly be with you. After calling the office to rectify my prescription and letting them know that I will be leaving a bad review for this provider, the girl at the office responded with “okay, sounds good”. If it wasn’t for my main provider at that office and the amazing service she provides, I would stop choosing this office as my primary care facility.

Heather is incredible. She listens carefully, takes the time to talk with you, and, most importantly, she finds solutions and helps with any issues you’re dealing with. It’s so reassuring to have a doctor who not only loves what she does but also truly cares about her patients.

Heather is AMAZING! she is everything you want in a Dr, she's kind, loving and 100% listens. The office is not the easiest to deal with. they don't answer phones, they don't call back quick, the online portal is a pain and the office staff replies to your requests instead of the drs most of the time (only in the case the dr sends you a message do they actually then reply) one specific women by the name of Danielle is impossible to deal with. She replies to everything with unhelpful answers, drags things out and makes me want to leave this practice entirely.
