I had Dr Darakchiev he did two herniated disc on me . from the minute, I met him in the office. I knew he was the man and sure enough I was right the surgery went perfect. He explained everything to me exactly the way he was gonna do everything and made me feel very comfortable. I had to wait a few weeks before having my surgery and I was in so much pain if it wasn’t for Nikki his secretary, who kept supporting me over the phone I called her for every little thing that wasn’t even her job and she took care of me. I was also taken care of by his pain management group, Dr fanaee and Christine. They made sure I was as comfortable as I could be until my surgery. Dr fanaee even called me on a Sunday morning because he knew on Friday when he talked to me that I was in a lot of pain and he called me to see if there was anything he could do for me. What doctor does that on a Sunday morning Dr. D his staff. I’m recovering now and doing well if anybody needs to say a brain with spine doctor, I recommend you see him. I also went for a second opinion because it was a serious surgery and my family wanted me to. I saw another doctor and he confirmed what Dr. D said needed to be done. He would’ve just done it a little differently but my heart was with Dr. D and I’m glad I stayed with Dr. D because I’m doing wonderful as of today.

This practice is great, the staff is very helpful. Dr. Palumbo has done surgery on my mom and 2 different cousins, he is a great neurosurgeon and we feel completely at ease with him. Highly recommend!

Exceptional Care at Long Island Brain & Spine!
I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Long Island Brain & Spine. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in good hands. The staff was super friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. They were always attentive to my needs and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire visit. The waiting room was clean and comfortable, and I didn't have to wait long for my appointment.
The doctor I saw was exceptional. He took the time to listen to me and explain everything in a way I could understand. I even got to see the pain management doctor. Both provided me with a personalized treatment plan that addressed my specific needs. They didn't rush me and made sure I felt taken care of. I'm so happy with my treatment plan and can't wait to see the results.
I highly recommend Long Island Brain & Spine to anyone seeking top-notch medical care. They're the best!

Let me start by saying I am a 59 year old Male . Who’s worked heavy Construction my entire life .. I injured myself on 4/26/24 a Friday and like all other times I figured by Monday I’d be ok for work . I’m a rigger that was working up in Yonkers. By the time I got to work I could barely move . And Drove back to Long Island where I asked my wife to take me to ER . After MRI it showed several disks in neck broke through and were pressing on my spine nerves . My wife had a friend who worked for top surgeon in NYC and in the 6-7 visits back and forth and getting steroid shots that did nothing he said we must do Surgery. So I went for second Opinion to long island brain and spine . Spoke with Nikki who called Dr D immediately and he was able to see me same day . Dr D spent more time with me and my wife in one visit then the other surgeon did in 7 ! He explained what exactly he would do to relieve my pain with a Fusion . Unfortunately this is a WORKEMENS comp case . That happens to be the worst system going in NY . So now I must also Thank Lisa who never gave up on me and put so much extra work in trying to get me approved by this WC Board ! All in all it took 5 months from date of injury to finally be approved . I am three days home from hospital . Where I was well taken care of . And anyone that asked who my surgeon was I said Dr D ! They ALL said he’s the Best there is . I spent 5 months in my home unable to drive , or sleep in a bed . I slept 2 hrs at a time in my recliner . All because of Workmens Comp horror show ! From the moment I opened my eyes from Surgery the pain in hands and arms vanished! I wanted to kiss him and started to tear up . I know I could never go back to doing my old job and risk all the work Dr D did to me , but that’s ok I put enough blood sweat a tears in my years , and just know I can live a life without excruciating Pain and numb fingers . Thank You Dr D , Nikki and Lisa my personal angel that kept on top on case and fighting for my healing . If you read this and are contemplating using Long Island Brain and Spine . I give them a 100 Star Review !
