Latina Women Who Conquered Hollywood: The Dolores Del Rio Story

September 17 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join award winning Hollywood historian Sal St. George to explore the stories of the beautiful and talented Dolores Del Rio, who was the very first Latina to cross over into mainstream Old Hollywood. Del Rio opened the door for the fiery Lupe Velez (dubbed the Mexican Spitfire), High Noon star Katy Jurado, and Carmen Miranda, who appeared in countless hit musicals and was nicknamed “The Lady in the Tutti Frutti Hat.” These iconic Hollywood stars paved the way for so many other Latina actresses during the history of motion pictures.
