Visited the park off-season (no charge for parking), strolled perimeter trails of the park and hiked down to Southards Pond park and back to get more mileage for a walk (crossing under Southern parkway and then under Sunrise highway). Slightly beyond peak foliage in mid-November, but still pretty. Large parking lot and huge number picnic tables in the lake area, might be quite busy in summer.

Belmont State Park was closed for water activities during my visit, as paddle boating ends after Labor Day. However, it showcases stunning red foliage in late October. The parking area is spacious, and the trails are well-maintained and clearly marked. There’s a diverse array of plants to explore, and the adorable ducks and geese swimming in Belmont Lake make the scenery truly picturesque.

We love the park. Have been coming here so many times for so many years. The Fall season is my favorite as the photos are incredibly beautiful. You dont even need a professional photographer, nature helps you out.
Great park to walk the dog, ride the bikes with the family, walk with friends. Kids love the playgrounds although they are not the best out there but at least there is something 😅 right?! The bathrooms are conveniently located next to the parking lot. There are picnic tables. Once I even stumbled into a greyhound dogs club with so many gorgeous pups in one place. Wow!
The ice cream truck is also always there in the summer! 😄

I visited Belmont Lake State Park today, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! We rented a paddle boat for $20.00 and spent a relaxing time paddling around the beautiful lake. The water was calm, and the peaceful atmosphere was enhanced by the swans and geese swimming nearby—such a serene view!
The park itself was well-maintained, with plenty of open spaces and shaded areas for picnics. Belmont Lake State Park is a perfect destination. I highly recommend it!
