It’s a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of local traffic.
Bring a lunch and enjoy a little quiet time.
The only issue is the over abundance of goose droppings which make walking from the parking lot to any of the nice seating benches almost impossible to do without stepping on some ****. Unfortunate because it is a lovely public space.

NICE place to take a trip on your mobility scooter but you can't go around the paths there is gravel. If your partially mobile and you use a cane you can park your scooter at the entrance. Amityville is not handicapped friendly! There are no SAFE SIDEWALKS for Mobility chairs and scooters.

Beautiful park with benches gazebos, and a nice view of the canal. Ducks and swans abound in the summer. Very well maintained
