🦅 West Babylon Eagles Battle Hard but Fall Short
The West Babylon Eagles put up a strong effort but came up just short in their latest football outing. Despite flashes of offensive momentum and a resilient defense, the Eagles couldn’t quite close the gap against a tough opponent. While the scoreboard wasn’t in their favor, the game highlighted the team’s determination as they continue to build momentum for the season. Fans can expect this squad to keep fighting as they refine their play and look ahead to the rest of the schedule.
🐾 North Babylon Bulldogs Redeem Themselves on Home Turf
Meanwhile, the North Babylon Bulldogs roared back with authority, defeating the Deer Park Falcons in a commanding 48–28 victory at home. This win not only gave the Bulldogs a winning record (2–1) but also extended their dominance over Deer Park to six straight victories. The Bulldogs’ ability to bounce back after a tough road loss the previous week speaks volumes about their resilience.
Next up, North Babylon faces a fierce rival in Bellport, while Deer Park will regroup for a clash against Northport.
⚽ Babylon Panthers Hold Strong on the Soccer Field
On the soccer pitch, the Babylon Panthers girls’ soccer team showed their competitive edge in a 1–1 draw with Mount Sinai. Emma Muccioli netted the equalizer, and goalkeeper Gianna Durler was outstanding with 12 saves, ensuring Babylon walked away with a hard-fought point. At 3-3-3 on the season, the Panthers continue to prove they can hang tough against Suffolk III competition.
The boys’ side also saw intense action across the township, with Wyandanch, Copiague, and other local programs competing in close contests and gaining valuable experience for the season ahead.
💙 Community Spirit in Every Game
From Friday night lights to midweek soccer showdowns, the Town of Babylon’s high school athletes bring pride to their schools and neighborhoods.
