🎄 Bad Santa’s Top Picks for Holiday Fun This Weekend in Babylon 🎅
Alright, my holiday-loving troublemakers, if you want to crawl back into my good graces (or at least make me think about it), here’s what you can do: get out there and enjoy some of the fantastic events happening all over Babylon this weekend. Here are a few of my personal picks:
🚂 Annual Operating Model Train Layout
📅 When: Friday, Dec 6, 12:00 PM (and repeats all weekend)
Why I Love It: Tiny trains, big smiles. You think I’m not into model trains? Think again. Grab the kids and let them dream about what Santa’s workshop might really look like.
🎅 Old-Fashioned Babylon Village Christmas
📅 When: Friday, Dec 6, 5:00 PM
Why I Love It: The lights, the music, the small-town holiday vibes. Plus, the shops will be open for late-night browsing, so drop a little cash to support your local businesses—or face my coal.
🐾 Furry Friends Fotos
📅 When: Saturday, Dec 7, 9:00 AM
Why I Love It: Nothing says holiday cheer like dressing up your pets for a holiday photo op. Bonus points if your dog or cat sits still long enough to snap a pic!
🏃 Jingle Jog
📅 When: Saturday, Dec 7, 10:00 AM
Why I Love It: Work off those cookies you’ve been inhaling. Lace up, jog around, and earn your holiday feast guilt-free. Or don’t—just cheer from the sidelines.
🎭 Elf Jr. The Musical
📅 When: Saturday, Dec 7, 11:00 AM (and again on Sunday)
Why I Love It: It’s a family-friendly laugh-fest. Buddy the Elf is my spirit animal (minus the relentless optimism).
🎁 Holiday Toy Giveaway
📅 When: Saturday, Dec 7, 11:00 AM
Why I Love It: Giving back is what the holidays are all about—unless you’re on the naughty list. Then it’s about proving you’ve changed.
☃️ Winter Spectacular
📅 When: Saturday, Dec 7, 12:00 PM
Why I Love It: Free ice skating? Hot chocolate? Gifts? You’re checking every holiday box with this one. Get the kids, snap a photo with me (but don’t expect me to smile), and enjoy the festive vibes. Organized by the Wyandanch Plaza Association, it’s got music, crafts, and more holiday cheer than you can handle.
🌲 Tree Lighting and Santa Claus at Argyle Park
📅 When: Sunday, Dec 8, 4:00 PM
Why I Love It: A stunning tree, Santa (obviously), and a great way to wrap up the weekend. If you miss this, don’t even try to make excuses.
These events are more than just holiday fun—they help keep our town vibrant, our neighbors supported, and my job a whole lot easier. So, get out there, have a blast, and do some good while you’re at it.
