For more than four decades, the Paumanauke Native American Festival has invited Long Islanders to gather in celebration of Indigenous culture, tradition, and community. Now entering its 43rd year, the beloved Pow Wow returns to Tanner Park in Copiague on August 9 and 10, 2025 — and this year’s lineup is bursting with color, rhythm, and spirit.

Hosted in partnership by The Paumanauke Native American Festival Inc., Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA), and the Town of Babylon, the event showcases a rich array of traditional and contemporary Native performances.

  • 🎶 Drumming groups including Gray Cloud Singers, Red Thunderbear & Stoney’s Boys
  • 🕊️ Aztec & Traditional Dancers
  • 🎤 Master of Ceremonies: Anthony Hay
  • 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Audience participation dance sessions
  • 🍽️ Native American foods & refreshments
  • 🛍️ Vendors & Traders selling handmade art, jewelry, crafts, and goods
  • 🏆 Dance Competitions (registration Sat 9–11 AM only)

The Paumanauke Pow Wow is more than an event — it’s a living expression of Native American culture on Long Island. From the beat of the drums to the sacred dances passed down through generations, each moment honors ancestral heritage and promotes understanding across cultures.

The festival is open to all and provides a welcoming, family-friendly space for people of all backgrounds to learn, witness, and participate in Native traditions.

  • Bring your own chairs or blankets — seating is not provided.
  • The event runs rain or shine, so plan accordingly.
  • All state and local safety guidelines will be followed.
  • Dance registration is Saturday 9 AM – 11 AM ONLY. No late entries!
