Been here several times in the last year. Came for the air show this occasion. But came also, when the tuskegee event happened. Very friendly staff, so much information and displays that people put so much effort into if you have the time I suggest a stop.

My buddy and I visited the museum today and absolutely loved it! It was filled with so many interesting and informative static and interactive displays that we couldn't leave until we saw it all. The staff there was very helpful and friendly. This is a must see long Island hidden gem. Highly recommend!

It was a blast tk see these planes inside and out, and there were a lot more than what I expected. But the best part has to be the volunteer tour guides! They are the best part about this museum, some of the friendliest and most interesting people you will ever meet! Even gave us cute little pastries! 10/10 would come back again.

Super informative museum. Jam packed with aviation, history, interactive are extraordinary. WW2 models are fantastic.
Best WW2 aviation we have visited. Better than National museum in Chantilly, Virginia. Live WW2 planes being started up and maintenance .

I had a fantastic experience at the American Airpower Museum. Located at the site of the former Republic Aviation plant (producers of the A-10 airplane among others), the museum has a great collection of planes from World War II until the recent past. The best thing about the museum are its volunteer guides. My guide Frank used to work at Republic Aviation which ceased operations in 1987. Frank was super knowledgeable on the planes and very enthusiastic. Sections of the museum are dedicated to the women war correspondents in World War II, including Lee Miller, the female factory workers in World War II, and the Tuskegee Airmen. Overall a great experience and a must see museum.
