I had a fantastic experience at the American Airpower Museum. Located at the site of the former Republic Aviation plant (producers of the A-10 airplane among others), the museum has a great collection of planes from World War II until the recent past. The best thing about the museum are its volunteer guides. My guide Frank used to work at Republic Aviation which ceased operations in 1987. Frank was super knowledgeable on the planes and very enthusiastic. Sections of the museum are dedicated to the women war correspondents in World War II, including Lee Miller, the female factory workers in World War II, and the Tuskegee Airmen. Overall a great experience and a must see museum.

The museum is small but was very fun though. My kids age 10 and 18 really enjoyed it. They have like a little tour outside where they tell you a little bit about the planes which some of them were in WWII. Also they have a simulator where they show you step by step how to fly a plane which coast $12. They gift shop is small but cute things to buy. The people that work at the museum were so friendly.

Holiday Pancake Breakfast 2024: What a wonderful event, it was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, the live music was amazing, the breakfast was great. I had a great time, the kids had “the best day ever” according to their words. So much to see and to do for the price. The best part of everything was the people that works there, they were so kind. Thank you for everything.

Fantastic place to visit for AirPower enthusiasts. The bulk of the planes are in airworthy condition which steps up the experience. Knowledgeable guides, George showed us around and were very thankful for his insight.
