My experience: This was my second visit at Angie’s Soul House. Today’s visit I ordered the fried flounder, mac & cheese and yams. Please note I could not wait until I returned home therefore I popped the lid and started eating in my car outside of the restaurant. The fried flounder was seasoned to perfection and oh baby, that crunch, yams (flavorful) and mac & cheese (creamy & cheesy) which was consistent with my 1st visit. The price point was under $30 (large portions). Furthermore, I called the restaurant during my 25 mile drive home, spoke directly with Angie because I wanted her to know my experience after eating her food. I told her it brought me joy and I felt compelled to let her know personally. Also, I was driving and eating at the same time. I actually had a tear in the corner of my left eye. In addition, the staff remained positive the entire time while working expeditiously to get everyone their order/s. A.S.H is always busy which is a clear sign. For me, Angie and her team has it figured out!

I’ve had Angie’s catered food at two family functions. This time we finally went to her spot! Her food is the very next best thing from home cooked food! The best part is, you don’t have to leave LI to get it. Everything was on point and the portions are worth the price. Oxtail tender and very flavorful, Mac n cheese was mac’n, and the potato salad was hittin’. The customer service is top notch! We love how everything flows when you walk in…the staff is welcoming, music is great of course and the vibe is right. Next time we’ll make sure to get there before the cobbler runs out 😩. We’re happy this place is around and hope LI gets more business like this. We need them! Go ‘head Angie!

The fried whiting tasted like it was just caught from fresh ocean water. It was firm and powerfully fresh. The batter was very crispy and perfectly seasoned. I am a foodie, and this was the best fried whiting I have ever tasted in my culinary adventures in this planet. My order cost me $22 with two sides. The Rasta pasta was tasty. It was the first time I had it at Angie’s, and I definitely will order it again. The collard greens were satisfactory. I came here at 4:30 pm on Friday afternoon and waited an hour for my order. The food was worth the wait! Suggestion: Angie, you need to get bigger retail space. You are approaching “Pinky Cole Hayes” in popularity.

"Well, slap me and tell my mamma! 'Cause that's some delicious food". Craved some soul food and was in the area so I tried it. Initially didn't know it was a Caribbean & American Soul restaurant, and it exceeded my expectations. The mac & cheese is better than most restaurants; probably the best I've ever had. It was some creamy, gooey, cheesy, delicious goodness. If Angie's jerk chicken is what jerk chicken is supposed to taste like, then everyone else is making it wrong. It was some of the most tender and flavorful jerk chicken I've had in a long time. Smoked turkey wings were juicy, tender, and delicious. Rice and beans were better than expected. Friendly and all smiles from Angie and the staff. Definitely made my Sunday soulful after eating some food from here. Very clean, beautiful, and (slightly) open view restaurant. Can be a little pricey, but it's worth it.

The reviews aren't for show .. this place has GREAAATTT soul food. 10/10 no question. Definitely on the pricier side and the wait is outreagous but the food is fresh and absolutely worth the wait. The customer service is top tier and staff is very welcoming. You don't need to get both the Mac and cheese and the Rasta pasta at the same time for your sides; Try one and come back try the other or share with someone so you can try both at the same time either or are great choices. The cabbage and rice and peas are really good side choices too. The fish and oxtail are both great choices for main entrees. Safe to say I'll be back to try just about every other entree and confirm this place is as good as I think it is so far. Keep in mind that because they have so many customers the place is HOTTT, try not to think about it ... the food will make up for it.
