Barrique is definitely one of the best restaurants in Babylon and arguably on Long Island. The outdoor seating is decorated beautifully and feels like a quiant European alleyway. They also have personal heaters they can turn on for you if it gets too cold outside. The food was phenomenal. From the meat and cheese boards, to the pesto gnocchi, to the short rib, my boyfriend and I were very impressed. The drinks were mostly great. My boyfriend and I loved the Gold Rush and the Butterfly Martini, however whatever Mezcal was in the Tropical Depression was a little too much for me. Thankfully when asked if I can switch it back to Butterfly Martini our waitress was super sweet about it and let me change it back with no issue. Finally the food did take a little too arrive but I guess you cannot rush perfection. I would just suggest not coming here if you are in a rush. But otherwise this is gorgeous place, with generous portions, thus I will definitely be returning!

Came here on a Friday night for a date night dinner for two, wait was only about 30 minutes. The place is just a little tucked away, but it has plenty of character once you step through the main door on the side of the building. The place offers both indoor and outdoor seating, we wound up with outdoor. Loved the look of all the brick and hardwood around, and the lights kept relatively dim. Sound level was good, had no problem having conversation at all.
Wait and bar staff were attentive and very friendly, even on a night that seemed to be on the busier side.
Starting with drinks, we had the red sangria and I also tried the butterfly martini, a gin based special of the week. Both were delightful, the sangria a little lighter than I personally prefer, but was just the way my date likes it. The martini however, was delightful, I pray that they make it a staple on their cocktail list! But maybe that's just because I'm a sucker for anything with pomegranate.
Food was delicious! Most things are tapas style, making it a great way to try a few things and split with friends. We started with the gorgonzola dip and truffle fries. Don't be foolish like us and almost give away your leftover dip if you run out of bread, they gave us more to finish it off! It's basically the best fondue I've ever had, and I'm usually not one for funkier cheeses. Truffle is hit or miss with most people, and these go pretty hard on the truffle, so if you're on the fence about it, these might be a little more pungent than you'd like, although they are crispy and delicious. On to the main even we split the roast chicken and lamb chops. Both came with delectable sauces, the best green beans I may have ever tried (and I am typically a green bean hater), and perfectly fluffy mashed potatoes. The chicken was my favorite of the two, perfectly cooked, nice crispy skin, you couldn't do it much better. The tapas style also really lends to not feeling so grossly stuffed either, portions just feel more in control. We capped off the night with one of their dessert shooters, they have a ton of options but we went for the Nutella option, and splitting the little jar between the two of us was just the little bit of a sweet taste we wanted to end the night on. The rest of the menu had so many good items all across the board, with a ton of people around us especially ordering pizzas, I'm definitely eager to come back and try more.
Parking can be a bit hectic, there is street parking and a parking lot in the rear, but read your signs carefully, as there are a lot of tow away zones and some places where it's metered and some where it isn't.

Had a wonderful time at Barrique for my Birthday Dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was so tranquil and intimate. Food was amazing and shareable. My favorite was the Bianca pizza. Great ambiance outdoors for picture. Looking forward to returning.

First I’d like to start off by saying that I am a regular customer at Barrique. Good food, drinks, & ambiance. Unfortunately, last night I did not feel comfortable at this establishment. As we were walking in for dinner at the door, an intoxicated “macho” man walked into my boyfriend and I, and started yelling profanities at us and calling us nasty things. This was totally unwarranted. He was clearly drunk and in-coherent. Not the vibe I’m used to at this place. I come to Barrique to get away from that nonsense. Anyway, I tried yelling for the staff to help with the situation but all I was met with was blank stares from a couple of the waitresses watching the scenario take place. You would think they would’ve ran inside to at least get help. This man obviously needed to be removed. It took a few minutes of being harassed before the manager stepped in (because a nice bystander went and got him; not his actual staff). We were trying to walk away and this man was following and provoking us. I did not feel safe as I was truly considering calling the cops at this point. After the incident, we grabbed a drink at the bar and waited for our table. I discussed the situation with one of the waitresses who witnessed, and she did apologize for the incident but also said she did not want to get involved due to risk of being “hit”. Understandable, but then again, I did not enter your establishment to be hit by an obliterated men either. Therefore, action should’ve been taken sooner. I don’t think any of us would’ve liked to be “hit” or “touched”. Staff or customer. As we sat at our table, still shaken up, another waitress comes up to us and says “oh, looks like I have the trouble table”. I know this could’ve been a joke, but at this point, after being verbally and almost physically attacked by this random man, not feeling safe, respected, or protected from staff, that comment was the icing on the cake. Totally unprofessional. This whole situation was unfortunate and unacceptable as my family has been in the food service for almost 25+ years and we would never treat a paying customer like they are not worthy of safety or protection. Especially against an obvious aggressor. It is truly disappointing that the manager did not approach us and make sure we were OK afterward. After all, we did spend hundreds of dollars this same evening. To sum it all up, the whole situation just did not sit right with me and ultimately, I believe staff and the male manager should be better trained in case a problem like this does arise again.

Very cool wine and cocktail bar in Babylon. Chill and elegant vibes inside the restaurant and a beautiful lit alleyway filled with outdoor seating. Excellent menu with so many options from apps, pizza, and small plate entrees. A very long list of excellent wine options for whatever taste you may like. The food comes out when prepared and not all at once so your meal is always fresh. Our dinner was the tuna small plate, and the pan seared salmon, both very good! The mini desserts are also all delicious! The restaurant is not that big and fills up quickly, I would try to get a reservation or come in early for dinner. I definitely recommend Barrique Kitchen and Wine Bar!
