Came in craving authentic Haitian food. It’s hard to find here in Long Island. But when we walked in, we were completely ignored by staff. Did not even want to take my mom’s order. They just wanted to chitchat amongst themselves. We left as soon as we saw the vibes. Disrespectful and the food even looked undesirable. I will not be back unless they step their cookies up!

Staff say that Lalo is their best selling dish because “it is not easy to make at home”. It is made from Jute leaves, fresh crab and beef. The dish is only sold on weekends and costs $ 18 for a medium serving and $ 20 for a large. ATTENTION VEGANS: jute leaves are antioxidants that are high in protein. They also have many health benefits including the regulation of blood pressure and cholesterol. They are on sale as “Mulokhia” for $10 a box. I am giving this deli three stars because the interior could use a renovation. It looks “old” in there.

The food is always fresh and delicious. The meat flavorful, never dry. The sos pwa and food portions are always perfect. This is my favorite restaurant to get authentic Haitian food. I love the service, its been a pleasant experience everytime Ive gotten food from here.

NO PENNY PINCHING from them .. and let me add that the pain patate was good 😊 you can tell it was freshly made and was served the correct way.. I definitely recommend CANZY ISLAND TASTE.. This place over charges for the bowls and plates. And the food is an absolute disrespect to true Haitian food. It’s not seasoned well and not salted.. I am beyond un satisfied. I paid 5 dollars for a small Mac n cheese bowl that is absolutely absurd. If I could leave a negative review. I would
