Charlie and his team are amazing. My father suddenly passed before Christmas and Charlie came in on his day off just to make sure my dad had the proper and most beautiful send off for my father. My father truly got the final celebration he deserved. Charlie and his team were a great comfort to us through the entire process and the effort they put in all the details was above and beyond. Charlie, Peter and Jennifer truly care and that made all the difference and gave us great peace during this difficult time. The funeral home is also stunning and a true gem in the Village of Babylon! My siblings and I are forever grateful. Thank you Charlie.

We want to thank Joe Vanella of Boyd-Spencer for his guidance and assistance in helping us set-up our funeral pre-arrangements. His knowledge and patience were greatly appreciated in going through all the requirements needed for us to have the final services the way we want. Joe was friendly and professional going through every detail and options that are available. We are grateful to Joe for spending the time with us. I can't say enough good things about Kristi. She guided us and comforted us every step of the way. Her compassion was unbelievable. We gave her a box of my father's possessions that we wanted on display at the wake and she set up the room beautifully. She did something special for all of the grandchildren. My father was a veteran and she helped set up a military escort for him. She had an amazing speech at the burial. I even had extended family come up to me to tell me how great she was. She really treated and honored my father as if he was her own. She was great every step of the way.

We are so grateful for Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of peace and warmth. The building was welcoming, accessible, and full of natural light—it felt more like a celebration of life than a funeral home. The staff greeted us kindly, and Mr. Spencer even took the time to show my 10-year-old son around, answering his questions with respect. Accessibility was also very important to us as I have a son in a wheelchair, and they made sure every detail supported our needs.
Peter was truly a blessing throughout the process. He was patient, kind, and compassionate, meeting each of my family members where they were in their grief. He guided us through every step, from planning to coordinating with the church and cemetery, always allowing us the freedom to make the service personal to my father. When my father passed, the staff who came to our home treated him with dignity and respect, pausing to let us say goodbye before he was taken. That moment gave us peace we will never forget.
Our family is large, and every aunt, uncle, and cousin commented that this was the nicest funeral home they had ever been to. One relative even said, “It doesn’t feel like you’re at a funeral home.” We cannot thank Peter and the entire team enough for giving us the space, respect, and compassion to celebrate our father’s life the way he deserved.
