I can’t thank Charlie Spencer and the entire staff at Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home enough. During the difficult time of my father’s passing, Charlie—being a retired police officer—really connected with me as a fellow member of the Suffolk County Police Department. He made sure my family was cared for every step of the way.
From helping us with all the paperwork to allowing us to have food catered between services, everything was handled with compassion and professionalism. In one of the hardest moments of our lives, they gave us a beautiful and respectful farewell for our father. Highly recommend.

Peter F. and the entire staff were absolutely amazing—compassionate, supportive, and attentive during such a difficult time. Peter spoke beautiful, heartfelt words at the burial that brought comfort in a dark moment. I would highly recommend their services. Nothing about losing a loved one is easy, but everyone at Boyd-Spencer made us feel cared for and supported. We’re so grateful for their kindness and professionalism.

If you are looking to plan a wake I highly recommend Claude R. Boyd-Spencer funeral home, ask for Peter F. I was absolutely amazed at his kindness and professionalism. This was the worst week of my life and Peter had us smiling and laughing while making arrangements! I honestly expected to be hysterical crying, total opposite! I have a new friend in Peter. Everything was perfect and beautiful. He really made this process seamless. He even gave us suggestions of things I never would have thought of. My family could not be more grateful. Thank you all.
