I have been coming to Dr. David Scharf for 6 years, and he is unbelievably nice and always helps me make the best decisions for me, I recently came to him to have an implant done and he advised me I should do a root canal instead. I appreciate his honesty and would never go anywhere else. He is a great guy, communicates very well and treats me with great care and he is the best dentist I’ve ever been to in my entire life.

By far the most professional medical/dental office experience I’ve had in a VERY long time. The office is clean and modern. The staff are all extremely well trained, personable, friendly, efficient, you name it. Dr. Scharf is also 10 stars! He’s kind, knowledgeable, and really spends time with you. He’s very thorough in his exam and explanation of everything. You can tell he actually knows what he’s doing and I’m extremely confident that I’ve found on of the best periodontists at least in Long Island. It’s clear Dr. Scharf is very experienced. He’s also extremely personable, which is often hard to find. He even left a personal voicemail the day before my new patient appointment (I missed his call) which I found to be very refreshing. Those little personal touches do actually make a difference. Highly highly recommend.

🌟 Life-Changing Relief After Four Years of Debilitating Pain! 🌟
Words cannot express my gratitude for Dr. Scharf and his exceptional team. After a serious illness and harsh medicinal treatment, I struggled with debilitating tooth pain that affected my entire mouth. This pain was triggered by virtually everything: sweet, salty, sour, acidic, hot, and cold foods, and even changes in the weather. For approximately four years, this was a constant struggle, and no other specialist had heard of a condition like mine or been able to offer real help.
From my very first visit, Dr. Scharf was kind, considerate, and patient. He listened intently to my story and was immediately determined to find a solution. He took swift action, treating the roots of my mouth with a new, effective treatment. While this provided significant relief, I was still experiencing some dental pain.
When I called his office to ask if he would consider treating my entire mouth, there was no hesitation. Dr. Scharf immediately scheduled me for another appointment, demonstrating his commitment to my complete recovery.
This has been a life-changing experience. Dr. Scharf has given me the opportunity to regain a part of my life that the pain had taken away. I cannot say enough about the character and person he is; I will be eternally grateful.

Dr. Scharf is an amazing Periodontist. I had bleeding and swollen gums for years, he did the Lanap surgery. My gums are healthy again. Feels like a new mouth.

I went in for a second opinion and left feeling very relieved. Dr. Scharf was thorough, took time to explain everything clearly, and reassured me that surgery was not needed. The staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful, which made the entire visit feel comfortable and stress-free.
