When my mother passed away in December 2024, a family friend recommended this funeral home to my sister and me. We called several funeral homes looking for a budget-friendly option, and Joseph was the only one who offered a reasonable price without compromising quality or compassion.
We knew we were in good hands from the moment we met Joseph in person. He was organized, friendly, and genuinely had our best interests in mind. There was no pressure to upgrade or purchase anything we didn’t need — he presented a variety of options and let us choose what worked best for us.
Just four months later, my father passed away, and there was no hesitation — we called Joseph again. Once more, he delivered exactly what we envisioned. Both of my parents looked beautiful in their caskets, and the entire process was handled with care, professionalism, and respect.
Joseph and his team made everything, from arrangements to the burial, as smooth as possible during such an emotionally difficult time. The funeral home itself is clean, orderly, and has a pleasant scent, which might seem like a small detail, but it contributed to the peaceful atmosphere we all experienced.
Joseph is a warm, hardworking individual who has clearly invested time and care into his business. He truly cares about the families he serves. For Spanish-speaking families, there are staff members who can assist with communication, which is a huge plus.

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to J. Slinger-Hasgill Funeral Home for the way they handled my grandfather, Mr. Herbert Lee Payne’s, homegoing services this past Friday. During such an incredibly difficult time for our family, their professionalism and care made all the difference.
They treated my grandfather’s memory with dignity and gave us the support we needed throughout the entire process. In moments of grief, it’s important to have people who genuinely care, not about the cost, but about honoring your loved one and standing by your family.
