I have never tried Turkish food but it was awesome. This is a self service location you place order up front and when ready they call you for pick up. We ordered the beef momo ( small sized momo with yogurt and chilli oil) and it was good. Their Hummus and Baba ganouch was the best I have ever tried and a must have. Warning they use very little to no salt so add as per your taste. We also ordered the beef and lamb mix kebabs and that was the high light of our evening. The kebabs melts in your mouth and most important no smell. The chicken dish we order was a miss and I would not recommend anyone to order as it was bland. They offered us their special dessert of Bashbusha and Kunafa and I must compliment them it was really really good. I will be returning soon with an empty stomach. Cheers

Very disappointed with the experience. The person taking the order had no patience and rushed me while I was trying to decide. I ordered the beef kebab and lamb kebab — both had no flavor and were not fully cooked. Definitely not coming back….

Previous ownership was better. Prices got more expensive and portions got much smaller. Customer service is always poor here as well now. They seem to focus and give you good customer service only if you’re Turkish, otherwise good-luck. Usually long wait times for your food, so prepare to call further in advance. Sometimes their phone does not even go through when you call, and you have to keep trying. Food is tasty, that’s the only thing that keeps me coming back. Have been a customer here for 20 years. No EBT here as well for the grocery section.

Nazar is hands down one of my favorite Turkish spots in NY! It’s both a restaurant and grocery store in one location, which is super convenient. My go-to is the mix grill—it’s packed with all their delicious meats like lamb chop, Adana kebab, and kofte. And the white rice? I could eat that by itself—it’s that good!
They offer complimentary tea, which is perfect for winter days. After dining, you pay at the grocery cashier, which makes the whole experience unique. Their lamacun is the best I’ve had in NY, freshly baked and worth the 7-10 minute wait. I still need to try their popular mix appetizers, but the specials like lentil soup and cheesy creamy chicken are top-notch. The staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome.
Plenty of seating, amazing food, and great service—definitely recommend!

This restaurant is amazing. The Turkish foods are authentic and delicious. At 1st I wasn't too sure what to get, but the guy behind the counter gave me suggestions and also gave me some samples to try. He said the gyros are very popular, but when I was there, they were already sold out. I got the mix pie, the lahmacun, and the adana kebab, and they were so tasty. The breads are fresh and very crispy and there's also fresh Turkish teas which are on the house. And to top it off, there's a supermarket next door which has a variety of Turkish items including fresh baklava. Fyi, the meats are all Hallal
