The front office staff are incredible, anytime I call they get me in either that day or within a day or two. I’ve had many doctors, surgeons, and pa’s in my 43 years, Dr. Lenefsky is one of the best. He’s attentive, incredibly knowledgeable (but not a know it all),and he really listens to his patients. I’ve been under his care now for a while now, trying to figure out what type of crazy bacterial infection I have. I spend a lot of time out of the country so pinning down what I have has been extremely difficult. I honestly feel that sometimes it bothers Dr. Lenefsky more than it bothers me that we haven’t figured out exactly what I have. I trust this man with my life, and I trust his staff to get me in to see him when I need too. I have NOTHING negative to say about him, or his staff. I read through the reviews of others, and all I can say is he’s the doctor you want in your corner when things go sideways.

I hardly ever give 5 stars so the 4 is not a reflection of the Dr! He has been my PCP for decades and it is sad that after Northwell, he became almost impossible to reach and appointments are not available for months! Now that I'm in my 7th decade, I need a more accessible practice.
I miss the way his practice was. You got your reasonably timed appt., you met him in the exam room. He would listen, and always ordered tests with regards only to my needs. Afterwards, I would sit in his office to discuss the visit and care. Never pretended to have all the answers and would reach for nearby medical books to consult if needed.
So sad that they saw fit to join Northwell!
If you do get to see him, you would understand how valuable he can be.

Doesn't matter how sick you may be, if you are lucky enough to have someone pick up the phone, they will tell you there are no available appointments until at least a week from that point. Urgent care has become my new primary care doctor. How sad. The doctor is good, from what I can recall, its been so long. I am sick right now and told the receptionist I have been sick since last week and feeling worse instead of better. She said nothing she can do, and they will refuse me if I just show up to be squeezed in at the end of hours. Sweet.

I can never get an appointment with this office. You can book only in advance. If you are sick you must wait 4 days for an appointment. The problem is if you are sick you can never see any doctor at this practice. This has been a long term problem. I actually discussed this with Dr Lenefsky a few years ago and he became angry with me.
The most unprofessional doctors office in Suffolk County.
Too bad because he is a good doctor but you must have a doctor's office that is available to it's patients. I have other doctors in Suffolk and at NYU and Sloan Kettering there is never a problem seeing my doctor's when necessary.
It is not that I mind seeing other doctors in this practice if Dr Lenefsky is off but that is also impossible.
I guess I have learned my lesson and it's time for a change.

I have found Dr Lenefsky to be attentive, thorough and an excellent care provider. I never feel rushed and my concerns are always addressed. I whole heartedly agree that they are almost impossible to reach on the phone, but I blame Northwell as EVERY Northwell provider has to suffer under the call center BS. All of their providers are frustrating to reach on the phone.
