I’m posting separately to add additional context to a recent review about this company’s visit to our home.
We had no water from our kitchen sink, but every other faucet in the house (4 bathrooms and our laundry sink) had normal hot and cold water. This was inconvenient, but it was not a whole-house emergency.
The plumber quoted $425 for the first hour and $375 for each hour after, plus a $125 service fee. When asked how long the work would take or what the plan was, no clear timeframe or scope was provided. We were essentially expected to agree to open-ended hourly charges at a very high rate.
We chose not to move forward. The next day, as temperatures rose, the pipe unfroze on its own with no leaks, no damage, and no repairs needed.
Given that outcome, it’s disappointing the situation was framed with urgency and worst-case language rather than a more measured explanation of possible next steps. Customers deserve transparent pricing and a realistic assessment before being asked to commit to significant, undefined costs.

I’ve used Suffolk Plumbing multiple times and I don’t think I will use anyone else. Every time they were professional and came quickly to fix the issue. I’m also very impressed with how neat and clean the job looked after. They take their time and do the job right. Highly recommend!! Also, I have Home Serve and always ask for them to fix my plumbing issues.

The plumbing service was excellent. My service representative was awesome. He addressed all of my concerns. I will continue to do business with this company only.

Had a really great experience! Everyone that was here helped after a pipe burst behind my wall and created so much less stress for me in so many ways. They helped from the bottom up and did everything for me. I really didn't worry about anything which was amazing. Really nice people as well. Defn recommend them for anything you may need!

A plumber came Monday morning to assess our pipes as there was no water flowing from our kitchen sink since Sunday morning. All other faucets in the house had normal hot and cold water, so this was not an emergency situation. (We have 4 bathrooms and a sink in our laundry room)
Despite that, my husband and I were quoted $425 for the first hour and $375 for every hour after, plus a $125 service fee. When I asked how long the job will take, the plumber was not able to provide a timeframe. We were essentially expected to agree to an open-ended, very expensive job with no clarity on scope, time, or method.
The hourly pricing felt like it may have been based on an “emergency” rate, but that was never clearly stated upfront over the phone, nor was it appropriate for the situation. The lack of transparency, combined with worst-case-scenario language and pressure, felt like a scare tactic rather than an honest assessment.
This company should have been much more upfront about pricing and expectations before dispatching anyone. We ultimately did not move forward with using them for their service but was still charged a service fee.
