Such a fun and unexpected stop while walking down Main Street with my boys! The Town of Babylon History Museum is a small but charming local gem. The staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable, and we learned a lot in a short amount of time.
One of the highlights was stepping inside an old-fashioned jail cell - my boys thought it was the coolest thing ever! The museum is the perfect quick stop to break up a stroll or grab a bit of local history. We found out they do model train displays in December, which we’re definitely coming back for since my little one is obsessed with trains.
It’s little places like this that make the town feel special - free, educational, and filled with stories you didn’t know you wanted to hear.

Tour guide was very informative and encouraged asking questions. She was able to tailor her knowledge to the interests of those she was guiding. You can informally walk through common areas of the building and the downstairs and court room tour were free. Additionally, there are posted billboards about the history of the village.

Great place to visit, the history of Babylon is quite interesting. The museum is right in the heart of the village as it should be. One of the last pieces of the real Babylon, with all the new elite people and businesses who knows how much longer it will be there. The mayor will sell any land to a restaurant for the right money. So see it before its gone
