Memorial Day Weekend Mission Brief: Parades, Parks, Food & Live Music Around Babylon
Memorial Day Weekend is here in the Town of Babylon, and the mission is clear: honor the fallen, support the community, and ease into the unofficial start of summer with parades, waterfront music, food festivals, beach season energy, parks, markets, and local fun.
Before we hit the beaches, parks, docks, patios, boardwalks, and backyard BBQs, let’s remember what Memorial Day is really about. This weekend is a time to pause, reflect, and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The summer fun matters — but the remembrance comes first.
Now, once the flag is raised and the respect is paid, Babylon’s weekend orders include food trucks, farmers markets, lighthouse walks, live music, Memorial Day parades, waterfront hangouts, and enough local activity to keep the whole crew deployed from Friday through Monday.
🌦️ Babylon NY Memorial Day Weekend Weather Forecast
Pack the poncho, keep the hoodie in the vehicle, and have a backup indoor plan ready. The weekend starts cloudy, Saturday and Sunday look damp and windy, and Memorial Day itself may give us more usable outdoor windows.

🫡 Final Orders
This Memorial Day Weekend, the Town of Babylon has a full deployment of local events — but the first order of business is remembrance. Attend a parade. Thank a veteran. Teach the kids what the day means. Then, when the ceremonies are complete, enjoy the parks, beaches, restaurants, music, markets, and waterfront places that make this community feel like home.
See you around town.
