Ladies and gentlemen. The New York Knicks are NBA Champions. Read that again. Say it slowly. Let the words marinate like a championship parade hot dog.

Fifty-three years of waiting? Gone. Generations of “maybe next year”? Deleted. Jalen Brunson dropped buckets, New York got its title, and now the Town of Babylon has decided to behave like it just got handed the Larry O’Brien Trophy and a microphone.

This week, Babylon is loaded with family fun, live music, food festivals, paint nights, fundraisers, wellness, comedy, gaming, and enough waterfront entertainment to make your calendar ask for a substitution.

Here is the weather game plan for the week. And please, let us not commit the egregious transgression of ignoring a possible shower when we have outdoor concerts and food festivals on the board.

  • Monday, June 15: Mostly sunny, breezy in the morning, high near 75°. A nice afternoon for outdoor activities.
  • Tuesday, June 16: Mostly sunny, high near 70°. Beautiful event weather. No excuses.

This is the kind of week where the Town of Babylon looks at the calendar and says, “We are not here to participate. We are here to dominate.”
