Local Events Around the Town of Babylon, NY this week ~ July 13–17, 2026

Put on your platforms, beautiful people — we’re going to boogie.

Right on, Babylon. The DJ has dropped the needle, the heat index is threatening 110°, and this week our humble town catches a full-blown case of boogie fever — no leisure suit required (though we won’t stop you). It’s a Donna Summer kind of week: the groove is hot, the lights are low, and love — or at least a decent lobster roll — is in the air.

We rounded up every last happening across the Town of Babylon so you can leave your uptight hang-ups at the door and follow the funky vibrations. From Vacation Bible School to a genuine Donna Summer tribute under the stars, from street-festival glam to a metal birthday bash loud enough to tear the roof clean off — it’s all here. Slather on the sunscreen, hydrate like a liberated adult, and let’s get down.

Here’s everything going down this week, day by day. Can you dig it? 👇

☀️ This Week’s Weather — Feel the Heat (Literally)

Donna sang “Hot Stuff.” Mother Nature took it as a personal challenge. Here’s the honest forecast so you can plan around the inferno:

  • Monday 7/13: Sunny and breezy, mid-80s, just a slight chance of a late shower. The mellowest day of the week — dig it while it lasts. 😎
  • Tuesday 7/14: Full sun and straight-up hot — mid-90s, heat index up to 110. Even the disco ball is sweating.
  • Wednesday 7/15: Mid-90s again (heat index ~110) with a 40% shot at afternoon showers. Should clear up groovy by showtime.
  • Thursday 7/16: Increasing clouds, near 96°, about a 30% chance of a passing storm. Heavy, man. Heavy.
  • Friday 7/17: Mostly sunny early, high near 93°, then a 50% chance of storms after 2 PM. Have an indoor Plan B or it’s a real bummer.

The lowdown: it’s a heat-wave week. When the sun’s blazing or the sky opens up, don’t freak out — just strut indoors for Music Bingo, a paint night, a comedy dinner show, or a mind-melting meditation reset. Your aura will thank you.

🪩 The Rundown

This week the scene sprawls clear across the Town of Babylon — Amityville, Babylon Village, Lindenhurst, Farmingdale, Copiague, West Babylon, and the sandy discothèques of West Gilgo and Robert Moses. You want live music? It’s on damn near every night. You want festivals, free concerts, arts & crafts, bingo, a murder-mystery dinner, or wholesome family fun? Solid — the funky vibrations have you covered, so make the scene.

Three stone-cold knockouts anchor the week — one disco resurrection and the two biggest street parties of the summer:

🪩 Forever Donna — The Ultimate Donna Summer Tribute · Wednesday, July 15, 7:00 PM · Tanner Park · FREE

Forever Donna — The Ultimate Donna Summer Tribute

She walked into Tanner Park like a full-blown disco queen, and honey, Rainere Martin does not come to play. Forever Donna resurrects “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff,” “Bad Girls,” and “On the Radio” as part of the Town of Babylon Free Summer Concert Series — for the price of exactly zero dollars. Pack a chair, bring the crew, and shake your groove thing under the stars. 🎶

🎪 Wednesdays on Wellwood: Summer Street Festival · Wednesday, July 15, 4:00–9:00 PM · Downtown Lindenhurst

Wednesdays on Wellwood: Summer Street Festival

Lindenhurst’s signature night turns Wellwood Avenue into an outright disco inferno — 100+ vendors, a Kidz Corner, food for days, and live music across three bandstands (Social Gold, Ready in 10 & Radioactive). Decked out or dressed down, everybody makes the scene. Rain date July 22, so don’t be a square about the forecast. 🦞

🎡 Babylon Block Party · Thursday, July 16, 5:00–9:00 PM · Babylon Village

Babylon Block Party

The Babylon Village Chamber turns Deer Park Avenue (between Main & Park) into one big far-out community throwdown — live music, food trucks, a kid zone, and shop-local good vibes. Bring the whole commune. It’s outta sight. 🎶

🌞 Monday, July 13

Right on, beautiful people — Monday keeps it mellow, wholesome, and refreshingly free of anyone in a powder-blue leisure suit. The younger set gets down at Vacation Bible School in Amityville while the whole family catches boogie fever at Salt Shack Family Fun Night, where bounce houses are the closest thing to platform shoes you’ll find all night. Feeling cosmic? Star Gazing & Sand Painting with Jackie out at Robert Moses lets you find your aura in the sand like it’s the Age of Aquarius all over again.

  • 🙏 Vacation Bible School (VBS) — 9:00 AM–12:00 PM · St. Mary’s Church, Amityville. Runs all week (Mon–Fri)! Songs, crafts, lessons and games for kids age 5 through 7th grade. Registration is free.

🔥 Tuesday, July 14

Tuesday brings the heat — mid-90s, heat index flirting with 110, the kind of day that makes even a disco inferno mutter “too far out.” Cool your jets with beachside grooves from Tasty Wave at Salt Shack, because nothing says liberation like live music and a sea breeze. Or leave your uptight hang-ups at the door and get your consciousness raised at the free Meditation Reset in Amityville — far out, no cover, zero polyester required.

🪩 Wednesday, July 15 — The Big One

Can you dig it, beautiful people — Wednesday is where the whole week burns up the floor, so strap on your platforms and make the scene. Downtown Lindenhurst becomes a full-blown disco inferno at Wednesdays on Wellwood (with the funkiest rolls in town from Cousins Maine Lobster), while The Blend works the dock at Captree, Screamer of the Week tears the roof off Salt Shack, the Summer Adult Art Classes get glam in Lindenhurst, and Disney & Nickelodeon Music Bingo keeps the jive turkeys entertained in Farmingdale. But the crown belongs to our disco queen — Forever Donna setting Tanner Park ablaze for free, and honey, that’s one last dance you will not want to miss.

From there, strut straight into the Babylon Block Party for food trucks, live music, and shop-local good vibes on Deer Park Avenue. And when the heat turns heavy, keep it cool with Bottle Paint Night, catch Krush burning up Salt Shack, or play amateur detective at Murder at the Family Reunion — where the only jive turkey is the one who did it.

  • Morning Networking @ Whiskey Down Diner — 8:00–9:00 AM · Farmingdale. Breakfast & networking with the Farmingdale Chamber (register ahead).
  • 🎪 Babylon Block Party — 5:00–9:00 PM · Babylon Village. Live music, food trucks, a kid zone & shop-local fun on Deer Park Ave.

🎶 Friday, July 17 — Bring on the Last Dance

Friday, beautiful people, is your last dance — so make your move before the storms roll in after 2 PM. Do it for a good cause at the All Boro’s Annual Summer Bash in Amityville, then take your pick of grooves: Arlington Drive at Lily’s, Joe & Dave at Palmer’s, Mean Machine at Salt Shack, The Mystic out at The Boat Yard, or free fifties gold from The Clusters at the Babylon Village Gazebo. And for the bad girls and jive turkeys who like it LOUD, Sandbox Summer Sweatbox and Terrorpalooza 2026 will tear the roof clean off — because peace, love, and polyester never said one word about keeping it quiet.

  • 🎡 All Boro’s Annual Summer Bash — 4:00–10:00 PM · Amityville. A fundraiser sending individuals with challenges to the Bronx Zoo — catered food, pig roast, live reggae, DJ, axe throwing & more. ❤️
