The museum property was donated by the children of Henry Livingston, who resided across the street and edited his paper, the Southside Signal. The Babylon Historical Preservation Society provides Circa Boards to houses or structures that are at least 100 years old. To apply for a Circa Board, download the application from the society’s website, fill it out, and submit it along with the required documents, photos, and a $100 fee.

The Historic Homes Committee (HHC) researches and preserves the history of historic homes and structures in the Village of Babylon, primarily those built before 1929. They can assist property owners in researching information about their homes and buildings, helping to uncover stories and memories associated with these structures. If you own a historic home or building, you can apply to be part of the HHC’s efforts by submitting an application with the required documents and photos.

The society awards a $1000 Excellence in Social Studies Scholarship annually to a Babylon Village high school senior who excels in social studies. This scholarship helps to foster a love for history and encourages students to pursue studies in this field. Eligible students must live in the village and attend one of the specified high schools. The guidance counselors of each school submit the name of their top student, and the society’s scholarship committee selects the recipient.
