The Town of Babylon’s 25th Anniversary September 11th Memorial Ceremony, followed by the unveiling of the Town’s new Post-9/11 Memorial honoring residents who became ill or lost their lives in the years after the attacks.
Fourteen names are inscribed on the new memorial at its dedication. It has remained covered since its installation and will be uncovered during the ceremony — the first time the honored families will see it.
The new memorial joins the Hometown Memorial, which honors the Babylon residents killed on September 11, 2001.
Taking part: Supervisor Rich Schaffer, the Town of Babylon Town Board, the Post-9/11 Memorial Committee, the Town of Babylon Chiefs Association, and the families of those honored on the new memorial.
The ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m. It is open to the public, and all residents are invited.
