From classroom to community impact — two Babylon students earn recognition and support from Visual Citi to shape a brighter future through architecture and engineering.
LINDENHURST, NY — In a heartfelt continuation of its mission to uplift the next generation of creators and innovators, Lindenhurst-based signage and fabrication company Visual Citi has awarded two $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors Frank Farrugia of Lindenhurst High School and Matthew Lottman of West Babylon High School.
This marks the second year of Visual Citi’s scholarship program, part of its broader community engagement initiative to foster creativity and invest in the future of local students pursuing architecture, engineering, and design.

Frank Farrugia’s journey is a story of leadership, resilience, and heart. As Class Council President, Vice President of the Student Council and Community Cares Club, and Public Relations Coordinator for the National Honor Society, Frank’s involvement at Lindenhurst High runs deep. He is a three-sport varsity athlete and an active member of over seven student organizations.
His passion for architecture was sparked by his late father, whose memory continues to drive Frank’s dreams. Despite personal loss, he has excelled academically in honors and AP courses and is determined to build spaces where people feel connected and at home.
“Frank embodies everything this scholarship represents — perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to bettering the world around him,” said Abbas Devji, President of Visual Citi.

Matthew Lottman is a young engineer with a mission. Inspired by his mother’s health challenges, Matt plans to study Mechanical Engineering at Farmingdale State College to design medical devices that are more affordable and effective. His innovation-driven mindset is matched by his commitment to service through Boy Scouts of America, where he recently completed an Eagle Scout project building a gazebo at St. Paul’s Reformed Church in North Babylon.
Matt is active in his school’s Robotics Club, multiple honor societies, and has led countless service projects, including creating garden beds to support food-insecure families and organizing community fundraisers.
“Matthew’s passion for engineering, driven by love for his family and a heart for service, is inspiring,” said Arif Devji, Vice President of Visual Citi.
