GO New York! GO New York GO! 🏀 Babylon Weekend Events Around Town — June 5–7, 2026

Knicks Fever, Local Events, Waterfront Music, Pride Weekend & One Very Tall Problem Named Wembanyama

Live from the Town of Babylon, New York… where the Knicks are in the NBA Finals, the brooms are being taken out of storage, and every local bar with a television is about to become Madison Square Garden East.

That’s right. The New York Knicks are in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, which means every dad in New York is suddenly saying, “I remember where I was,” every Knicks fan is now a full-time assistant coach, and every broom in the tri-state area has been reassigned from household cleaning to symbolic playoff sweeping.

Meanwhile, San Antonio has a GIANT. A literal hardwood pterodactyl. A French skyscraper in sneakers. A 7-foot-4 human cell tower named Victor Wembanyama, and apparently we are supposed to pretend this is normal.

It is not normal.

But New York has heart, grit, Brunson, buckets, and an emotional fanbase currently one overturned bar stool away from declaring a municipal holiday. So, yes, this weekend’s events are still happening — mostly.

Taste of Lindenhurst has been benched, postponed, cancelled, placed on Knicks Watch Party Protocol, and given a DNP: Finals Fever. Apparently people are simply going to watch the Knicks instead, because when the Knicks are three wins away from glory, appetizers become secondary.

Please enjoy the weekend. Please support local. Please do not actually burn down New York City in joy. We need the city intact for the parade.

Babylon NY Weekend Weather Note

Before heading out to outdoor events, waterfront shows, markets, Pride celebrations, beach permit sales, or anything involving standing outside while emotionally processing Knicks basketball, check the latest local forecast and event pages for updates.

Outdoor events may be weather-dependent, especially waterfront music, markets, sports events, and festivals.

In This Weekend Guide

This Weekend’s Starting Lineup

Whether you’re looking for live music, Pride celebrations, beach permits, farmers markets, family fun, craft fairs, comedy, fitness, waterfront dining, or somewhere to scream “GO NEW YORK GO!” at a television while holding mozzarella sticks, Babylon has options.

This weekend around the Town of Babylon and nearby communities includes:

  • Babylon Pride 2026
  • Stride With Pride 5K Run/Walk
  • Lindenhurst Local Music Festival

Final Buzzer

This weekend, Babylon is doing what Babylon does: music on the water, community in the streets, families at markets, kids making slime, people dancing, people volunteering, people brunching, people running, people celebrating Pride, and everyone pretending they are totally calm about the Knicks being in the NBA Finals.

We are not calm.

We are composed, perhaps. We are hopeful. We are full-court pressing joy. We are sweeping with dignity.

Mostly.

So go out, support local businesses, enjoy the events, watch the Knicks, keep the brooms nearby, and remember:

GO New York.
GO New York.
GO New York GO.
