Boy Scout Troop 2014 is getting a brand-new equipment trailer, donated by Mangano Family Funeral Homes and Family Florist, after the troop’s original trailer and more than $10,000 worth of supplies were stolen. The unveiling took place at Mangano Family Funeral Home, 1701 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, with scouts, troop leaders, and local dignitaries on hand.

“Sal Mangano continues to step up and answer the call when our community needs help,” the troop’s supporters noted — and this latest gesture turns what could have been a season-ending setback for the Scouts into a story about a Deer Park business showing up for local kids.
