Can you believe this?? The Events are back – the Summer looks promising and it looks like we have beaten back (or at least normalized) the pandemic.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS OVER

I have to be honest with you: I never thought that I’d be sending these Events emails again. While I always knew that we would come through the pandemic eventually, I started to think providing you with a local events calendar when there were no events just didn’t make sense. I wasn’t sure how many lockdowns we were going to have or whether I would have any Content to send to you at all.

I STRUGGLED TO KEEP THIS BRAND GOING

Thankfully, we are a very resilient and creative bunch here in town. I could see the pivot happening for everyone in all kinds of industries. And of course I knew I had to do the same. For those of you who don’t know I run a digital marketing agency to help local independent small businesses get seen more online. Whether it’s websites or social media, or Google search engine optimization, my goal is to promote my clients and all small businesses in the town of Babylon. My Grandfather used to say: “A rising tide lifts all boats.”

EVERYTHING IS FIGURE-OUTABLE

So, I’ve always been a promoter for local Independent small businesses, and I thought: how can I continue to promote local businesses even if we have another dilemma like we did during COVID?

PANDEMIC-PROOFING

Well, this is it: I’ve revamped ILoveBabylon.com to not only tell you about local events, but specifically to highlight the Local Businesses that provide most of the Events in town. You can now LIST YOUR BUSINESS on I Love Babylon. It’s a FREE listing – if you want to upgrade and unlock some very inexpensive Marketing features, and support this effort, then you can – but it is completely free to get on the I Love Babylon map. I’m going to start coming around and interviewing local businesses again and introducing them to audiences old and new so you can tell them why Your local independent small business is unique and exceptional – because that’s exactly what most of you are!
