Monday, Aug 10 · 8:15 PM · Overlook Beach · FREE. Family Movie Night on the sand. Bring blankets and low chairs, get there before the light goes, and let the ocean handle the sound design. The Overlook Beach Club is open for food.

🎸 Wednesday — American Girl: A Tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Wednesday, Aug 12 · 7:00 PM · Tanner Park, Copiague · FREE. The Town’s 2026 Free Summer Concert Series brings the full Heartbreakers catalog to the water. “Free Fallin'” at sunset on the Great South Bay is a very hard evening to beat.

🌊 Thursday — The Say at Overlook Beach

Thursday, Aug 13 · 7:00 PM · Overlook Beach · FREE. Another free summer concert, oceanside. Keep an eye on the sky this one day — Thursday carries the week’s only real storm chance — but if it holds, this is the sleeper night of the week.

🎶 Friday — Gazebo Concert Series: Grand Blvd Band

Friday, Aug 14 · 8:00 PM · Babylon Village Gazebo · FREE. Sixties hits and more in the middle of the village, on the nicest evening of the week. The Village’s Friday tradition, and the easiest place in town to run into someone you know.

The week opens with two family nights and one of them is on a beach. Vacation Bible School starts its Monday-through-Friday run in Amityville, Salt Shack’s Family Fun Night brings bounce houses and kids’ karaoke with no cover, and after dark Moana goes up on the sand at Overlook Beach.

The week’s breather — and honestly, after the weekend we just had, an evening with nothing scheduled is its own kind of event. If you do want out of the house, Beernutz plays Salt Shack at 7, and Vacation Bible School continues its morning run.

🎸 Wednesday, Aug 12

The biggest night of the week, and it’s free: American Girl plays the full Tom Petty catalog at Tanner Park. Before that, SOBeeZ takes Amityville Beach at 6, and Screamer Of The Week holds down Salt Shack.

Free concert number three: The Say plays Overlook Beach at 7. It’s the one night with real storm potential, so check the sky before you load the car — and if it turns, Rock Of 80’s is indoors at Salt Shack.

The week saves its fullest night for last — seven events and the nicest weather of the five days. Grand Blvd Band plays the Village Gazebo free at 8, The Reckoning takes the Bay Jam cruise out of Captree, and there’s a band at every bar from Deer Park Ave to West Gilgo.
