September Doesn’t Slow Down — and the Calendar Proves It

Here is the thing nobody tells you about September in the Town of Babylon: it does not slow down. The beach crowds thin out, the buses come back, and then the calendar quietly fills up with the best weekend programming of the entire year.

A three-day family festival at Tanner Park. The Beautification Society’s Annual Fair at Argyle. A free Central American Independence Day festival on the barrier beach. The 9·11 memorial service in Amityville. A villagewide garage sale, a pumpkin festival, a beer and wine fest at Tanger, four Saturday farmers markets, and more free library programming than any month this year.

140 events. One month. One town. Here is the whole thing.

📢 Introducing the Babylon Local Event Network

Where Babylon’s events — and the people who make them happen — come together.

Every week this calendar promotes hundreds of organizers who have no idea we are promoting them. We are fixing that.

If you run events in Babylon Town — a library, a chamber, a venue, a club, a fundraiser, a band — you can claim your listing and become a Verified Event Partner. It costs nothing. You get your events onto the calendar faster, a say in how they are presented, and a direct line to the Babylon Local Event Desk.

Free promotion has always been the deal here. This just makes it a relationship instead of a one-way street.
