Hello Summer, You Gorgeous Overbooked Menace: Local Events Around the Town of Babylon This Week

Hello Summer, We Missed You, You Beautifully Humid Chaos Goblin

Hello Summer. There you are. Hair slightly salty, sunglasses slightly crooked, calendar absolutely packed like you are trying to prove something.

This week around the Town of Babylon, summer officially stops hinting and starts flirting in full public view. We have free concerts, live music, networking, fundraisers, gaming tournaments, kids events, beach movies, dinner nights, wellness events, and enough “just bring a chair” energy to make every garage in Babylon Village, Lindenhurst, Copiague, Deer Park, Amityville, West Babylon, Wheatley Heights, North Babylon, and beyond suddenly very important.

The Town of Babylon Recreation Guide says summer is fun for everyone, and honestly, based on this week’s event list, summer may need to calm down and hydrate.

Babylon NY Weather Forecast: June 22–28, 2026

Local weather mood: humid, dramatic, occasionally damp, but still deeply committed to the summer storyline.

  • Monday, June 22: Cloudy, breezy, and humid with rain and possible thunder later. High near 75°. Translation: summer has entered the room carrying an umbrella and unresolved emotions.
  • Tuesday, June 23: Humid, mostly cloudy, breezy, with morning rain possible and some sun later. High near 77°. A very “we can still make plans” kind of day.
  • Wednesday, June 24: Partly sunny and less humid. High near 82°. Hello Summer, look at you acting civilized.
  • Thursday, June 25: Partly sunny. High near 80°. Outdoor plans are officially back on speaking terms with reality.
  • Friday, June 26: Humid with some sun and a couple showers possible. High near 78°. Keep the plans. Bring the backup plan.
  • Saturday, June 27: Humid with sun and clouds. High near 81°. Classic summer: cute, warm, and a little clingy.
  • Sunday, June 28: Mostly cloudy. High near 81°. A soft-focus summer Sunday, basically wearing linen.

As always, check the event links before heading out because weather, schedules, and life in general enjoy being dramatic.

In this Guide…

Introduction: Hello Summer, We See You

Hello Summer, you beautiful, overcommitted thing.

One minute we were talking about school calendars, spring cleanup, and whether it was too soon to put the patio cushions out. Now suddenly the Town of Babylon is giving us concerts in parks, music by the water, kids slime nights, community fundraisers, networking nights, Pokémon battles, psychic dinners, beach movies, and the emotional responsibility of deciding where to be at 7 PM.

This is the season where Babylon Village gets musical, Lindenhurst gets lively, Amityville turns up the amps, Copiague gets community-centered, Deer Park gets competitive, West Babylon brings the beats, Wheatley Heights brings the soul, and every resident quietly wonders if “bring a folding chair” should be added to their official legal name.

So let’s get into it. Hello Summer. We brought sunscreen, sarcasm, and a calendar that is already judging us.

The Men of Soul at the Babylon Summer Concert Series

When: Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00 PM
Where: Hermann Griem Park, 54 Brown Blvd, Babylon / Wheatley Heights area
Why it matters: Because Hello Summer clearly wanted to enter with a full band, harmonies, funk, R&B, and a crowd full of people who “only came to sit” but somehow end up dancing.

The Men of Soul bring the kind of performance that makes summer feel official. We are talking Earth, Wind & Fire energy. Jacksons energy. Gap Band energy. Prince, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Philly Soul, 90s R&B, and Yacht Rock vibes. Basically, your folding chair is coming, but your feet may file a formal complaint if you don’t let them move.

This is part of the Town of Babylon’s Free Summer Concert Series, which means the price is free, the vibes are expensive, and the only real challenge is remembering where you put the good lawn chair.

Hello Summer. You had us at “bring your dancing shoes.”

Outro: Hello Summer, We Love You, But Please Pace Yourself

Hello Summer, this is your love letter.

We love your concerts in the park, your beach nights, your farmers markets, your kids events, your community fundraisers, your dancing shoes, your folding chairs, your “just one more event” energy, and even your humid little attitude.

This week, the Town of Babylon is doing what it does best: giving local residents a reason to get out, meet neighbors, support local businesses, enjoy our parks and villages, and remember that living here is not just about where we sleep. It is about where we gather.

So pick an event. Text a friend. Charge your phone. Bring the chair. Check the link. And say it with us:

Hello Summer.

We’ll see YOU, around Town!
