Three Fall Festivals in One Saturday? I Literally Can’t Even.

Okay, like, oh my god. Saturday has three fall festivals in three different communities, and I am literally so obsessed. Babylon Village has its Harvest Festival downtown, Copiague has hayrides and a movie under the stars at Tanner Park, and Wyandanch Public Library has its Giveback Fall Festival. The Conklin House is doing an Apples and Arts festival, which is, like, peak autumn, and Amityville’s kids parade in costume the same morning. I’m dead. Sunday is more of a chill vibe: a car show by the Great South Bay, the farmers market, and a walk at Belmont Lake. Also, Halloween is two weeks from Saturday. Manifesting the perfect costume.

On the weather, because, like, it matters: Friday is a total washout, with rain all morning and thunderstorms Friday night. Saturday’s early showers clear by 8am, but it stays crisp at 55° with a north wind and drops toward 40° after dark, so: Uggs. Sunday is the pick of the three, sunny and 58°, which is literally perfect.

Village of Babylon Annual Car Show supporting LI Cares Veterans Project Food Bank

And, like, two MORE fall festivals on Saturday: the free Fall Festival at Tanner Park in Copiague runs from 3 to 6pm with a hayride, pumpkin picking, face painting and the band SouthBound, then Monsters, Inc. under the stars at 6pm. Bring a chair and a blanket (and, obviously, a latte). Earlier, Wyandanch Public Library opens its Giveback Fall Festival at 11am, and Lindenhurst Village Park has a free Halloween Family Fun Day from 1pm.

Friday, October 16 28 events · 72°, rain and thunderstorms

Okay, so, like, Friday is literally a washout. Rain all morning, then thunderstorms into the night, so it’s indoor vibes only. The libraries totally get it: Project Hail Mary at Babylon Public Library, plus a Friday film at Lindenhurst, North Babylon and West Babylon. Copiague has a Teen Movie & Pizza night, because pizza? Obsessed. In Babylon Village, the Conklin House opens its Apples and Arts Reception at 7, which is giving major apple-season energy, and Bricks & Minifigs in West Babylon has a Sip & Social AFOL Night for adult LEGO fans. I can’t even. Once it’s evening, The Byrne Unit plays happy hour at Lily Flanagan’s, AJJ brings the Dirty Old Power Tour to Amityville Music Hall, High Street plays the hits at Goccia D’Oro II in Lindenhurst, Now Hear This takes the late set at Whiskey Rocks, and On Your Feet! is on at the Argyle. Today is also National Mammography Day.

Saturday, October 17 38 events · 55°, clearing and cooler

Okay, Saturday. Like, literally three fall festivals, a costume parade AND a Halloween fun day, all on the same day. I’m dead. The morning showers clear by 8am, but it stays crisp, with a high of 55°, so it is officially Ugg season. In Babylon Village, the 35th Annual Post Office Cafe 5K starts at 10am, so heads up: West Main Street closes from 9:30. In Amityville, the Thomas H. Smith Ragamuffin Parade steps off at 10am from the 9/11 Memorial Park and ends at Village Hall, and the tiny costumes are, like, too cute. The Giveback Fall Festival opens at Wyandanch Public Library at 11. At noon, the Babylon Village Fall Harvest Festival fills downtown with two stages and rides, and from 11 to 4 the Conklin House has its own Apples and Arts Festival. Lindenhurst has a Halloween Family Fun Day in the Village Park, the Lindenhurst Fire Department’s Liberty Hose Company runs Crazy Cash 2026, and from 3pm Copiague has the free Fall Festival at Tanner Park, with a hayride, pumpkin picking and Monsters, Inc. under the stars at 6pm. Bring blankets, because it drops toward 40° that night (and, obviously, a pumpkin spice something). Earlier in the day you can volunteer at the Great South Bay Clean Up or drop off old electronics at Copiague’s E-Waste Recycling. For the night: Sweet Pill at Amityville Music Hall, a 60’s Road Trip cruise on the Moon Chaser, The Daplorabulls at Popei’s and Saving Sanity at Whiskey Rocks. Manifesting a crisp, dry, perfect fall night.

🍂 This Weekend in October

Today, Friday October 16, is National Mammography Day. It falls in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition’s Vision of Hope Garden is still standing at Town Hall Park in Lindenhurst through October 31, with pink and teal flags. A $10 donation places a ribbon in honor or in memory of someone. On Sunday, Women’s Day at New Shiloh Baptist Church in Wyandanch also honors loved ones lost to cancer.

Halloween is two weeks from Saturday. The trunk-or-treats, haunted walks and costume parades between now and then are in the October guide, along with the rest of the month’s observances.
